To start with, we have to know what a positive sentence is:

It is a sentence to affirm something you "do" or to express something you "agree". So what is its structure ?

Present simple

The structure of a sentence in positive with present simple is:

Subject + Verb in present simple + Complement

(Pronouns) (Es/s) (Complementary ideas of the sentence)

There is one particular thing in here, we can use the subject as many diferent things, we can use it to refer to a person, to an object or to something that exists.

Another one is about the present simple, to use it we add -es or -s at the end of certain verbs that were explained in the last class and to get it over with the complement, here is about the context of the situation, we can be talking about whatever we want but we have to add a context to understand the sentence, it is important to let the receptor know what we want to communicate with details.

Here are some examples:

Here we can see the student Ronaldo that goes with the pronoun of him, the action that he is doing is write, if we apply this topic, the verb write changes to writes that is the action that he is doing in the moment so the sentence is, Ronaldo is writing in the board, being the board the complement of this sentence

Following with the other part of the topic, we have the negative form this is similar to the positive, but it is it's the opposite, it is used to deny or argument about something you don´t want

It´s structure is:

Subject + verb in present simple + not + complement

Most things are the same here, the meaning of the subject, the verb in present simple and the complement, the thing that changes here is the addition of the not, this is used to deny an affirmation or to express disagreement to something, this can be combined with the the verb to be and to form the word don't that is the key to express the denial

Here are some examples

Past simple

The tense of the past simple is used to explain the events that happened in the past, it doesn´t matter if it happened a long time ago or a few days ago, as long it is in the past it is considered past simple.

Here is it´s structure:

Subject + main verb in past form + complement

the verb in the past form is just add a -d, -ed or -ied at the end of the main verb, it woud be like: love-loved, something happens when this is combined with the verb to be, it changes to was or and is used to express that something already happened

Here are some examples:

In it's negative form is almost the same thing but we add the not and is used to express that something did not happened

It's structure is:

Subject + main verb in past form + not + complement

we have to understand that the verb ¨did¨ is an auxiliary verb to continue with the verb to be, this is used as an little help to be more coherent

here are some examples

Present continuous
